Code Of Conduct

Code of conduct for Student and Faculties.

In order to maintain academic integrity, institutional discipline, and a respectful environment, the following Code of Conduct has been established. All students and faculty are expected to abide by these standards. Violation of any of the following will invite disciplinary action:

Acts Constituting Misconduct

Academic Dishonesty
Any deviation from the accepted academic standards, including plagiarism, misuse of sources, or dishonest practices in assignments, assessments, and research.

Unethical Academic Advantage
Employing unauthorized or unrecognized methods to gain unearned academic benefits, including cheating in examinations.

Disruptive or Disorderly Behaviour
Engaging in disturbances that interfere with others’ rights, causing damage to property, or displaying socially unacceptable conduct either on or off campus.

Unauthorized Access or Misuse of Records
Accessing, tampering with, or altering official documents, records, exam materials, or misuse of college digital and physical resources.

Obstruction of Institutional Processes
Interfering with official procedures, investigations, or administrative operations of the institution.

Ragging
Any form of ragging, including physical or psychological harassment, is strictly prohibited under institutional and legal provisions.

Sexual Misconduct and Harassment
Engaging in any form of sexual harassment, inappropriate behavior, or violations under the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (PoSH) norms.

Disciplinary Process

Reporting
All reports of misconduct must be submitted to the respective faculty committee or student monitoring group responsible for conduct oversight and grievance redressal.

Sexual Harassment Complaints
Complaints regarding sexual misconduct shall be directed to the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) or relevant designated faculty group.

Minor Infractions
Misconduct not involving suspension or expulsion will be handled by the relevant committee after providing the accused with a fair opportunity to respond.

Serious Offenses
Serious matters will be forwarded by the student group committee, after preliminary review, to the Student Conduct Committee, comprising:
■  Two faculty members

■ Two student representatives

■ Chairperson: A senior faculty member next in rank to the Principal

■ An Enquiry Officer will be appointed from among the staff to investigate the matter.

Advisor Support
The accused student shall be allowed to appoint a student advisor for support during the inquiry process.

Decision Making
The Student Conduct Committee shall deliver a verdict based on available evidence and facts on record.

Appeals
Any appeal against the committee’s decision may be submitted to the Principal, whose judgment shall be final and binding.
